About the infrastructure package

Friends,

We can't talk about an infrastructure package without talking about climate change, green jobs, and environmental justice.

The Senate is expected to vote on the package as soon as this week. We must use this moment to call on Majority Leader Schumer and Senate Democrats to not compromise away our future by hindering our work to advance environmental justice and combat the climate crisis.

Will you join me today and tell Sen. Schumer to prioritize climate and equity in the bipartisan compromise, because we can't wait another moment to take action?

Recent reports indicate that in an attempt to overcome Republican opposition, some Senate Democrats may compromise our values and significantly endangering the fight against climate change and for racial and economic equity -- areas that President Biden has explicitly advocated for in his American Jobs Plan.

Failure to include strong environmental provisions will once again leave low-income and communities of color to bear the brunt of the climate crisis. To finally address the needs impacting our communities, we must demand that climate priorities be included in the infrastructure package.

Please, sign our petition and demand that any infrastructure deal include the fight for climate justice and equity:

Thank you for taking action at this urgent time.

Peace,
