Mail-in ballots are being rejected at alarming rates

Beto O'Rourke

We just got word that mail-in ballot applications are being rejected at unprecedented rates in counties across Texas — thanks to the voter suppression bill Greg Abbott signed into law last summer.

In Travis County, the latest reports show that about 50% of mail-in ballot applications were rejected. And in Bexar County, officials said they were also forced to reject more than half of the applications that came in.

The only way to change these laws and the terrible trajectory we’re on is to change the people in power.

Please make a donation of $5 or more to help elect Beto and empower and mobilize the voters who will decide the future of this state.

Right now, we need to raise the resources to reach, register, and turn out the voters who can help us stop this slide toward cruelty, corruption and authoritarianism, and win back Texas in November.

Abbott passed this voter suppression law to cement his own power. His success in this campaign will rely on low voter turnout from the communities most affected by these new voter restrictions.

That means we have to work twice as hard, register more voters than ever before, and make sure a historic number of voters show up at the ballot box in November.

This isn't the time to give up or give in. By making a donation to our campaign today you will help us reach the Texans most targeted by Abbott’s new voter suppression law.

We can do it.

Thank you,

Beto for Texas
