South Australia sets renewable energy record

South Australia just broke its own renewables record by generating all its power from renewable sources for a whopping 6.5 days last December. The week-long stint set a record for the longest period running on renewables in the state, and possibly the world.

 
 
Huge healthy coral reef discovered off the coast of Tahiti

Scientists have discovered a massive coral reef more than 30 metres below the water's surface. The deep sea reef is in pristine condition, with lower water temperatures protecting it from coral bleaching events.

KFC will roll out 'green nuggets' in restaurants around America this month, joining a trend changing the face of the fast food industry. The franchise follows other fast food giants offering meat-free options in response to customer demand.
