I have big news to share with you today.
Today, I’m proud to launch the Kentucky New Deal.
I’m running for U.S. Senate because I love Kentucky. I love the people of our Commonwealth. And I believe that after decades of bad leadership, poverty, and struggle, enough is enough.
I’m gonna share more about why we’re launching the Kentucky New Deal and the history behind it — but before I do, can I ask you a favor?
My team and I want to be able to travel all across our Commonwealth to talk about the Kentucky New Deal with Kentuckians — and meet them where they’re at, from the hood to the holler. I’d be honored, if you can chip in $10 or anything you can afford so we can fund our travels and make these meetings a reality. Can you chip in?
Years ago, in Kentucky, we were promised a New Deal. We were promised a future without poverty, a future where every Kentuckian would have pathways to prosperity and plenty.
We worked the mines to power our cities. We forged the steel to build our bridges. We harvested the crops that fed our children. We fell the trees that built our homes.
The deal was that for our service and our sacrifice, we would be fairly treated. We would be able to live full and gainful lives, we could feed our families, and we’d have a fair path to prosperity.
But over the years, the promises of the New Deal have been gutted by politicians like Rand Paul. And what we have left now is a bad deal — a deal that exploits and harms Kentuckians who are already struggling, unable to get ahead.
A deal where corrupt politicians and corporations get richer, but the rest of us were left behind and forgotten. While Kentuckians suffer, they profited off their stocks, blocked pandemic relief, chased conspiracies, weaponized hate, and division. All for their own gain.
Kentucky deserves a new deal, on our terms — a bold new vision led by us and for us about the things that matter most to us. We can end the cycle, end the hate and division, end poverty as we know it with a new deal by us, for us.
The Kentucky New Deal will be the biggest investment in the history of our Commonwealth. But this isn’t about a handout. It’s about justice and claiming what is ours — claiming what we deserve.
The Kentucky New Deal will center the people of Kentucky to build lasting infrastructure, break down barriers to democracy, end generational poverty, build new statewide coalitions, and so much more.
This Deal will finally address the deep, lasting challenges that have crippled our Commonwealth, and meet people where they’re at.
The Kentucky New Deal is a way for us to show the nation that enough is enough, and everyday people have had it with the lies, corruption, and suffering.
I’m fired up and ready to share this vision with Kentuckians everywhere, from the hood to the holler. But I need your support to do this. If — and only if — you are able, please chip in $10 to our campaign.
More soon,
Charles Booker
