Remember the American Rescue Plan that House Democrats passed earlier this year, putting stimulus checks in bank accounts and shots in arms to lead us out of the pandemic? It also established Child Tax Credit payments for upwards of 39 million American families.
Families are receiving monthly payments of up to $300 per child starting this month as a result! The American people needed relief, and House Democrats delivered.
But do you remember how many House Republicans voted for the American Rescue Plan? Zero.
Democrats have a bold, pragmatic vision for America, and are acting on that vision every day in Washington. But Republicans continue to prioritize putting Trumpism back in power over real relief for the American people. But if Republicans regain control of Congress, there’s no chance they’ll take the steps to make the expanded Child Tax Credit permanent.
