Thousands gathered in nearly two dozen cities across America yesterday, to mark the fifth anniversary of the murder of George Floyd. Communities chanted George Floyd’s name, held a candlelight vigil, and hosted a “Rise and Remember Festival.” Floyd’s family spoke in Minneapolis, saying: “There is some good times, bad times, but we still remain in solidarity.” MN Gov. Tim Walz stated: “Today, we honor and remember George Floyd … his death marked a turning point in our nation and sparked a global movement ... calling for justice and real, meaningful change.” There was also a demonstration honoring George Floyd outside of a Target store in Conyers, GA. Target has been facing massive backlash and an ongoing boycott, ever since it moved away from promoting DEI initiatives. There was a protest on Saturday against the Trump regime in Jackson, MS, held outside the state capitol. The theme was “peace not chaos,” which is exactly what we’re all working toward. GOP FL Gov. Ron DeSantis was at a wrestling event on Saturday, where he was welcomed with loud boos and chants of “you suck!” Well deserved, for one of the worst Governors in our lifetime. This week, Senate Dems will introduce a bill that would remove the Trump regime’s control over US Marshals, and give it to the courts. Dem Sen. Cory Booker, who is leading the charge, said: “Our U.S. Marshals are critical to protecting the rule of law, and they must be able to do their jobs without political interference.” Fmr. VP Kamala Harris did an hour-long interview at a conference in Australia, where she slammed the idea that “the sign of the strength of a leader is who you beat down.” Harris also went after Elon Musk, without mentioning his name, saying: “Someone … suggested that it is a sign of the weakness of Western civilizations to have empathy … no, it’s a sign of strength to ... care about the wellbeing of others.” Dem Rep. Jasmine Crockett went on TV to call out Trump’s West Point tirade, saying it should lead to Republicans “questioning his mental acuity, and whether or not he is equipped to serve mentally. We know ... he is not qualified to serve, but this is just absolutely deplorable.” Rep.
