Why this Monday is the most important day of the 2022 elections yet

I'm writing you today because this Monday is a major deadline — the first FEC filing deadline of 2022, when all candidates must make public a list of who's supporting their campaigns.

This will be our first report since the defeated former President held his first 'BIG LIE' rally of the year in my home state of Arizona.

Since that rally, a record number of people of chipped in to help fund our voter registration efforts. Now Monday's deadline is our opportunity to hand Republicans their first humiliating defeat of 2022.

We've set our biggest goal yet, reaching 10,000 online donors before the deadline, and thanks to an overwhelming response, we're only 1,313 donations from reaching our goal.

I would be honored if you would add your name to our donor rolls by pitching in a contribution — even if it's just $1 — before Monday's deadline.

Remember, on these reports, it's the number of people that counts and every contribution will be used to help us fight back and defeat the slew of extremist candidates running up and down the ballot who are dead set on destroying our democracy.

And with Arizona Republicans dismantling voting rights and making it harder for people to cast a ballot, we must invest more resources in voter protection and education programs to make sure that every person who wants to have a say in this election can vote.

The new technology we used last year helped us win under tough circumstances, and we will continue to use those resources. But we must also make up for lost time and reconnect with voters by safely knocking on doors and holding events in their communities.

That means we must also invest earlier than ever in grassroots organizing and voter turnout efforts, which is why I'm reaching out to activists like you today to ask you to make an early investment in our movement.

Before Monday's deadline, will you pitch in $2.20 — or match our average online contribution of $22 — to help us make sure Democrats win, again, in 2022?

Peace,

Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ)
