So far this year, Big Pharma has jacked up the prices of 21 of the 25 most expensive drugs covered by Medicare. These same drugs cost taxpayers around $47 BILLION in 2019.
Skyrocketing drug prices cost us all.
Congress must crack down on Big Pharma's price gouging—and Katie is leading the charge on holding them accountable. Can you add your name to our petition now, demanding that Congress act and pass Katie’s Freedom From Price Gouging Act?
Just a few months ago, Katie was questioning a Big Pharma CEO about the rising cost of his company’s medications. This CEO tried explaining that the reason his company’s drugs were so expensive was because of "research and development costs."
One of those company’s most expensive drugs now costs $77,000—a 470 percent increase from when the drug entered the market in 2003. There is no way that price increase was only being used for "research and development."
So Katie took out her whiteboard and visual aids to show exactly where most of the company’s money was really going: directly into the pockets of investors, shareholders, and executives.
Despite Katie calling out the unethical price gouging of this company, they are still able to continue these practices—until Congress does something about it.
Please sign on to show your support for Katie’s Freedom From Price Gouging Act so we can stop the deadly practice of price gouging immediately.
Thank you,
