A win for Michigan voters SCOTUS declined to take a case from Michigan GOP lawmakers who used the radical independent state legislature theory to challenge two voter-approved pro-voting amendments to the Michigan Constitution. The amendments will remain in effect. Judge blocks unlawful DOGE takeover A federal judge ruled that the takeover by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) of the U.S. Institute of Peace was unlawful and therefore “null and void.” The order blocks Elon Musk's DOGE from interfering with the organization.
