I’ll keep this short.
This morning, a far-right Trump Republican announced their candidacy against me for California’s 30th Congressional District. But here’s the thing, despite her many misleading statements and smears... I’ll bet you she’ll receive support from the Republican Party.
Why? Because the Republican Party is no longer one of ideas, or even ideology. And it certainly has no devotion to anything resembling the truth. In fact, under Trump it is little more than a party of lies and vitriol, and only cares about pleasing their disgraced leader in Mar-a-Lago.
Every day I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent you in Congress. And I’ll do everything I can to defeat this challenger and any others who enter the race in the coming months.
Knowing the target on my back, with Trump and McCarthy attacking me every week, GOP donors will pour millions of dollars into the race against me, just as they did last cycle. But I refuse to back down.
I don’t say this lightly, but our democracy hinges on the results of the election this November as much as it will in November of 2024. Thank you for all you do. And thank you for being part of our fast response team. — Adam |
