It'll be 2022 before we know it. We're just 25 days away from the start of a critical election year. Republicans are trying to take over both houses of Congress, and Texas is going to be the most important battleground in the nation. I won't sugarcoat it: we're starting from a disadvantage. Republicans in our state have done everything in their power to disenfranchise Texans. They've passed one of the strictest voter suppression laws in the nation. They've tried to rig elections across the state by drawing severely gerrymandered new districts. But I know we can win. The policies and actions of Texas Republicans are incredibly unpopular. That's why they're scared to let voters have a say at the ballot box. A true grassroots movement, fighting for policies that actually help working people, can turn the tide in Texas. We can win. Even against dirty tactics like gerrymandering and voter suppression. Our team is planning to hit the ground running in 2022. We're going to register and mobilize thousands of new voters, and elect Democrats up and down the ballot. But this work takes resources.
