Happy Thanksgiving!
As we gather on Thanksgiving, it is undeniable how trying this year has been for so many families.
In the midst of this pandemic we are thinking of those who are facing this holiday without a special loved one for the very first time, those who may even miss their family meal because they are going to work on this special day to make ends meet, and the millions of people who are battling poverty and struggling to survive.
With the numerous challenges of Covid, it is undeniable how your help fuels the Progressive Movement to lift workers and their families.
So I want to express my gratitude because without you in this righteous fight, none of our work would be possible.
YOU are the reason we are having an impact on improving the quality of life and living conditions for the poor, working poor, and barely middle class.
YOU are the reason our demands for Medicare for All, a living wage, and quality education are being amplified.
YOU are the reason we have been able to organize like-minded people across the country and build a multiracial, multigenerational movement that is advocating for an equitable, inclusive, and just society.
YOU have had the courage to ask for more. And for YOU, I am truly grateful today.
