Today’s Action: Tell President Biden to pass significant climate action in the budget reconciliation bill now!
The United Nations came out with a 3,000 page "code red" report detailing the state of global warming. It starkly outlines, in some cases, irreversible damage done to ecosystems across the globe. Climate disasters will only worsen without immediate climate action. Greece is on fire, flash flooding is putting communities under water, and infrastructures across the globe are not prepared to withstand the devastation.
Global powers, like the United States, must take action immediately to lower greenhouse gas emissions and even consider providing assistance to vulnerable countries preparing for the consequences of industrialized countries’ pollution. A good start would be to champion the quick passage of the budget reconciliation bill, with all of it’s proposed climate initiatives intact.
Write President Biden and demand he ensure significant climate action stays in the budget reconciliation bill, and push for it’s passage before it’s too late!
Our leaders must come together to ensure the United States is doing everything in its power to stop and reverse the damage to our planet from years of unchecked natural resource exploitation, and Biden must seize the moment to lead that charge.
The largest burden of this climate disaster will fall on the backs of working-class families and marginalized communities, but none of us will be spared the devastation. We need climate action now to minimize the damages and deaths that are promised by another decade of unchecked pollution.
Write Biden and tell him he must prioritize climate action and pass meaningful climate initiatives immediately! Remind him that the future of Earth depends on it.
