I’m not going to lie, I’m worried.
Just a few months ago, Rand Paul tried to convince us all that our eyes weren’t working. For months, he worked to tell us a big lie — that the election was stolen — and he even let it lead to an insurrection, an attack on our nation’s Capitol.
And now, the GOP is passing HUNDREDS of bills all across the country at the local level in an attempt to suppress our votes and strip away basic voting protections.
To make matters even worse, Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul are blocking the passage of the For the People Act in the U.S. Senate. This legislation has the power to protect our most essential voting rights — but once again, we’ve been failed by our Senators here in Kentucky.
Enough is enough.
We have a real opportunity this election to end this cycle of failed leadership and expand our Democratic majority in the Senate so we can finally elect leaders who will fight for us. If you’re ready to rise up with me in this fight, will you chip in $10 to our campaign?

I’m no stranger to voter suppression.
Kentucky has long been one of the most disenfranchised states in the country.
For too long, Republicans have perpetuated the myth that Kentucky will always be “deep red.”
But the truth is it’s a commonwealth with a dark, long history of voter suppression that was used to silence our voices in elections, in particular for brown and Black voters. It’s a state where the number of people who don’t vote outnumber those who do.
If we change that, we can vote out politicians like Rand Paul and put people at the center of our politics.
We’re ready to do this work, but we need to start preparing NOW so we can reach voters in every corner of Kentucky and overcome every attempt Republicans make to silence our voices.
